Wonderful van for camping by Jerry from STL on 07/04/2008. Trim: 2002 Chevrolet Express LT, Owned 6 years.
Pros: Comfortable, roomy, great when we go camping, size is not intimidating when driving. The kids enjoy going on trips. Rear air and heat make the difference. We only use the video system on long trips.
Cons: Have owned this vehicle for six years and on my third set of tires. Recommend using truck tires instead of the passenger tires that came with it. Never been thrilled with the gas mileage.
Overall review: Got a great deal on it when purchased. Would like to find out how to hook up a DVD player to the video system. Was really looking at the Chevy Astro but Chevy decreased the amount of front leg room for the driver.

special delivery by ron augusta ga on 11/14/2003. Trim: 2002 Chevrolet Express G3500, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Very tough truck! Handles abuse! May not be plush....a little too much plastic, but nothing breaks.....that's saying a lot now days. Very reliable too.
Cons: Still difficult to get parts from autozone for......so just get parts for a 2000...they work fine
Overall review: Very impressed. I use it as a delivery vehicle with a box mounted on the back (cutaway)...looks like a cube van. Never had anticipated transmision problem. I'm still truckin' at 140000 mi. No serious problem yet.....just your usual maintanance.....not even a water pump problem yet....and haven't even needed to touch the ac! Overall, good buy for the money. Just take care of it....it's still a truck.

LT model is tops by Tessa from Houston, TX on 03/04/2003. Trim: 2002 Chevrolet Express LT, Owned 1 year.
Pros: The ability to move the bench to the front and captain chairs to the back is great. The quick release seats and bench seat is excellent. All of the electronics and interior look great.
Cons: The outside mirrors tend to wobble a bit at high speeds. The trim finish could be a bit better.
Overall review: I bought this van after driving several including the sister van by GMC. I really like the ability to remove the seats easily. Other custom vans need a socket wrench to get the seats out. The 4 rows of air vents really cool it down quickly and my son loves being able to hook his video games up and playing in the back.

Chevy Express Ultimate by Fred in WV on 12/10/2002. Trim: 2002 Chevrolet Express G1500, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: My 2002 Chevy Express is customized by Southern Comfort Conversions of Trussville, AL. It has an EXCELLENT custom package!! Have driven it to Florida on two occasions...very smooth ride and makes a long drive very easy!
Cons: GAS MILEAGE SUCKS! If you can afford the monthly payments, you've got to be able to afford the gas bill at the pump--$30 at least to fill it up (on 87% octane)!
Overall review: OUTSTANDING TRUCK WHEN YOU GO WITH A CUSTOM PACKAGE...IN FACT, THAT'S THE ONLY WAY TO GO. The truck is manufactored at the GM plant and then shipped to Trussville, AL for the final assembly. Southern Comfort Conversions, fully assembles the truck with the custom package that you select (to fit your budget). Great Truck, great comfort, and a super company in Southern Comfort Conversions (a Christian-based company)!
