Luv my Vic
by Neil on 02/12/2006.
Trim: 2002 Ford Crown Victoria LX Sport, Owned 1 year.
2
Pros:
I love my Crown Vic. It looks good, rides and drives great, has room and power. It also gets surprisingly good mileage. I get 17-19 in town. The Sport model is a more affordable 'Marauder light'.
Cons:
I like everything about the car.
Overall review:
The Crown Vic Sport is a classic American rear wheel drive V8 sedan. The monochrome paint, buckets and console, and 5 spoke wheels really improve the appearence. The car is comfortable, sporty and relatively economical. One of the best cars I have ever owned.

Good solid transportation.

Trim: 2002 Ford Crown Victoria Base, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
I love this car. It is big, powerful, comfortable, and so politically incorrect. I use to drive a Plymouth van and it was a pain to make the 37 mile trip to work, mostly highway. Now I have my Crown vic and driving is fun once more. I love the looks and I love the big trunk. I get a very surprising 22-23 mpg albeit mostly highway. I am quite satisfied with that. It is no Corvette but has plenty of power to pass or merge on the highway.
Cons:
It is hard to get in and out of. I have driven vans for many years and had to get use to being so low to the ground. Lack of gauges. It has an electronic speedometer, temperature and fuel gauge. It also has a trip odometer and fuel milage gauge. It is fairly accurate. Could use oil pressure gauge and voltmeter.
Overall review:
I use to own a 89 Crown Vic and have missed it for years,. This one is better in every way. Though it is hard to get in for someone my size (250lbs,6ft 2 in.), once I am in it is comfortable. It rides nicely and is quiet. The soud system is fine, though I would like a CD player.

Last of the big cars
by ACop on 06/07/2003.
Trim: 2002 Ford Crown Victoria Base, Owned 1 year.

Pros:
Excellent power, very reliable, lots of room.
Cons:
The hubcaps tend to fly off for no apparent reason.
Overall review:
I don't actually own a CV, but I drive one 8 hours a day as a police officer. I've been a cop for over 15 years, and can honestly say that the current generation Fords are the best police cars I've ever driven. The LT-1 Chevys were faster, and the Chrysler F-bodies more durable, but the Fords combine performance, ergonomics, comfort, and reliability into a total package.
Oh, and pay no attention to the alleged 22-year old posing as a cop in a previous review. He's a fake if I ever saw one.

GREAT CAR - WOW
by Mark from Renton, WA on 12/31/2001.
Trim: 2002 Ford Crown Victoria LX Sport, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
The ride and handling are fantastic for a big car! Love the bucket seats and center console! The movable pedals are a very big plus!
Cons:
CD Changer should be in center console, not in trunk, as there is plenty of room in there for it. Should offer MACH Sound system. Should have a more sporty instrument cluster, with a tachometer. Should offer a moon roof as an otion.
Overall review:
I would recommend this car to anyone in the market for a large, comfortable road cruiser with a flare!
