Great sports sedan. by Bill in St Louis on 03/15/2010. Trim: 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue GLS Sedan, Owned 6 years.
Pros: This is a very powerful car. It is more like a european car than an ordinary US car. It is capable of going up to at least 135 mph on the road. Gets 30 miles/gal on road trips. It does have way more accelaration that it really needs. Body is a nice style and very tight. Nice room front and back. I really have very few complaints.
Cons: Due to the torque, the motor mounts have had to be replaced at around 35,000 miles. At 68000 miles there have been very few repairs. Did have to put new tires on at 28000. This does have a rather wide turning radius. Have to be easy with the accelaration or you witll spin the tires. It has 235 HP tourque and 230 HP.
Overall review: When I bought this car in 2004, I really did not realize how driver friendly the car is. Easy to take care of. Body fits very well. Change oil every 3000 miles. That is about it.

Good Performance, Lots of little problems by My 96 Park Avenue has fewer problems at 265K miles on 05/15/2012. Trim: 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue GL Sedan, Owned 8 years.
Pros: Good acceleration, fun to drive. The engine starts with a touch of the key.
Cons: Little things go wrong. I have had the window mechanism replaced in all 4 windows in the car during the past 3 years. Also replaced the starter twice (very expensive) and the crank sensor. Also the components in the air recirculation system failed. Also one of the front springs broke and had to be replaced. Two of the plastic knobs on the radio broke, as did the small plastic bezel that surrounds the ignition key. The car currently has 125K miles - driven primarily back and forth to work - 60 miles round trip each day. I take good care of my cars, and these small failures should not have occurred. Fewer failures on my 96 Buick with 265K miles.
Overall review: Good performance, pretty good mileage (25 ish),

Smooth Ride by Betty from Michigan on 10/03/2009. Trim: 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue GL Sedan, Owned 7 years.
Pros: Very comfortable ride with the dual control leather seats, heated front seats, and overall smooth handling. The car is fast and has great takeoff when necessary. Love driving my car!
Cons: Have had to make a few repairs such as transmission which was covered under the warranty. Currently at 128,000 miles and paint is now starting to bubble and rust in a few places which will simply need some refinish.
Overall review: Attractive, stylish car... Great car... will hold on to it as long as I can because GM discontinued the Oldsmobile line.

Nice car, won't last. by Dean from Winnipeg on 05/21/2009. Trim: 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue GX Sedan, Owned 6 years.
Pros: Nice to drive, handles well, good power
Cons: fit and finish is horrible. Even with mudflaps, I have paint being sandblasted off the trailing edge of the front doors, the leading edge of the back doors, and the dogleg behind the rear door. Has been repainted twice, once with rock guard and still happening. Looking around at others, this is VERY common here in Winnipeg. Reliability of car is not great. Power steering problematic.
Overall review: Love to drive it, but the repairs are killing me and the coming rust from the paint being blasted off it are disappointing.
