Pros:
gas mileage is very good for it's size and a V6.
good engine that will last well over 100,000 miles
Cons:
needs many, many repairs
Overall review:

despite good engine, everything else needs repair - needed new transmission, new steering system, wheel bearings, rear outside door handles fell off, abs needs repair

Pros:
base engine isn't bad, nice ride, good highway cruiser.
Cons:
massive body roll, starting to notice electrical problems.
Overall review:
the impala is an overall good automobile. i got 104 000 miles on my car and i haven't really had any major problems with it. I got the 3.4 L motor and the sticker on the window says 32 mpg highway, yea right! I need to fix something i guess because i am only averaging 20 mpg and that is with mostly highway driving. handling is poor also but what can you expect from that whale. Other than that it is a pretty reliable automobile
