Pros: There's 125,000 miles on our car, and it purrs going down the highway. It's got a relatively smooth and quiet ride, so all of the driving we do in a year has us appreciating that (about 20,000/year) We added a sub to go along with the factory sound system, and music really thumps in it. Those are about the only pluses I can think aside from the fact that it's all paid off.
Cons: Sitting in the driver's seat you'd think you're in a cockpit because there are so many gauges and switches (most of them unnecessary). For the size of car that it is, it really lacks leg room in all seats aside from the driver's seat (I'm 6'3"). We're at the stage where things are starting to go seriously wrong. The service engine light has been on consistently for the last few months, and after several fixes, we're looking at a new transmission. The gas mileage leaves quite a bit to be desired. It really drives like a boat, too. It would be a satisfactory car if you did a lot of highway driving, but if you drive mostly in the city, I would look for something else.
Overall review: It's an alright car, but be prepared to have to do more than a regular oil change. I've traditionally always driven foreign cars, so the "having to take it into the shop every few months" has gotten old. While most of the fixes aren't super expensive, they still cost money and that adds up. The likelihood of a long life for this car are pretty minimal. We also have a Ford SUV, so we're not anti-domestic, but I've owned several Toyota's that were closer to 300,000 than 200,000 (without any major issues), so it's a little frustrating to be seeing the end of the road happening with only 125,000 on this Bonneville.

U-joint problem needs correctd by Beep on 10/07/2003. Trim: 2002 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Great looking, sexy car. SSEi has great acceleration for its' size. The "luxury with attitude" slogan definitely fit this car.
Cons: Continued problems with u-joints causing loose steering and "clunking" when turning - dealer has had it 5 times and not properly corrected this.
Overall review: If Pontiac can correct the u-joint problem, they've got an excellent vehicle. The continued problems with this not being properly fixed has me looking at other makes/models for 2004.

You Betcha' by A CarPoint Consumer on 08/17/2002. Trim: 2002 Pontiac Bonneville SE, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Great looking car!Has a solid ride and feel to it,like you are very much in control of the vehicle.Interior is comfortable, has plenty of room, dash has all controls within easy reach, trunk is spacious, sound system is great, many safety features........the list goes on and on......A real "drivers car"!
Cons: Cruise control has no indicator light on dash when engaged. With all of this cars technology, this is a mistake........Also has no light for ashtray when night driving.
Overall review: What a car! Very comfortable and solid feeling.I will definately look at buying another when the time comes.Looked at the Concorde,Lesabre,Impala, none came close to the "feel"of this car when driving.Good job G.M.!

Batman's New Ride by John from Western Ma on 06/18/2002. Trim: 2002 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: I liked the styling. It looks fast standing still. I liked the interior with the heated seats for the winter and the sunroof for the summer. Dash has the appearance of a jet cockpit, and the supercharger on the fuel efficient V-6 makes it feel that way to! The 2 driver memory and split climate controls make it a pleasure on trips. Would recommend to my friends.
Cons: Not that I dislike it, but when the supercharger kicks in you have to correct for the engine torque. (Steer slightly right as the engine pulls you to the left.) It just takes a little getting used to.
Overall review: Love the car. A luxury sport alternative to the pricey imports. A roomy car that gets up and goes. Great for the 40 something crowd who can afford a step up in class with a feel of performance not seen since the 80's muscle cars died.
