Good Old Ford by George from Los Angeles on 01/30/2007. Trim: 1991 Ford Taurus GL, Owned 9 years.
Pros: It is very reliable even at 230K miles traveled by the car
Cons: A/C is hard to repair or replace.
Overall review: Very good car by Ford. I get my money's worth by the cost per mile.

Very good first car by An MSN Autos Consumer on 11/23/2004. Trim: 1991 Ford Taurus GL, Owned more than 10 years.
Pros: This car has never needed any major repairs in the 15 years we've had it, other than the new radiator that went out on us last winter. But considering that it's the original radiator that went out after close to 15 years, it really tells you something. The engine still runs like new, braking is excellent, and no real major electrical problems to speak of.
Cons: TPS sensors go out quite a bit (ever few years), I understand that this was an engineering flaw, which causes the check engine light to come on, and can be really frustrating to fix, although the part costs no more than $50 and you can do it yourself in an hour or two tops. Also, the seats can be a little unforgiving, especially on long trips.
Overall review: Overall, this is a very reliable car, and if you take care of your cars, your cars will be nice to you ;-).

good car for a masochist by An MSN Autos Consumer on 01/30/2004. Trim: 1991 Ford Taurus GL, Owned more than 10 years.
Pros: Comfortable to drive, large trunk.
Cons: Started with systems failure at 20k, every month something expensive. Trans replaced by Ford, still shifted poorly. Heater and radiator cores out, brakes often including rotors, ending with the infamous head gasket failure at 75000 miles
Overall review: The happiest day of ownership was the day I donated it to charity. Bought a Toyota and lived happily after.
