02 Cav vs 09 Cobalt
by Poltushouse on 06/25/2009.
Trim: 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier LS Sport Coupe, Owned 2 years.
1
Pros:
Very good mpg, always get 30+ even in the city. Hwy 34. Manual shift is easy to drive.
Cons:
On long trips the seats can get uncomfortable.
Overall review:
After reading the review of the new Cobalt, Chevy has not improved it much since my 2002. Seven years later the Cobalt should be a lot better. Do they have turtles working in the development department at GM?

To get from point A to B...
by Mike from Anderson, S.C. on 09/06/2004.
Trim: 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier Sedan, Owned 1 year.
1
Pros:
1. It's been dependable for the last year I've owned it.
2. Decent fuel economy.
3. Roomy for someone of my height.
Cons:
1. Wal-Mart quality interior.
2. Really, really cheap sound system.
3. Could use a little more power.
Overall review:
As I mentioned, I've had this car a year and have had no major problems. It's rated rather poorly in side-impact crashes. However, I've known a bunch of people who have owned them and have never had any major problems. If you don't care about the tacky interior or the cheap, buzzy speakers or the excessive body roll this is your car. You can pick them up cheap (thank you low resale value).
