| Don't believe the reliability ratings and do your research on the forums. This truck is helping Diesel shop owners get rich all over the country. Stock without the chips and upgrades and used mostly as a grocery grabber and family vacation ride, my truck would constantly break down. No wonder why Ford is having hard times. They paid over $20,000 in repairs for the warrantee service. At 100,000 miles showing more engine problems with the 6.0L Diesel, I took the hit and traded it in. Mostly motor problems: head gasket, EGR Cooler (3 times), injectors, some fuel pressure control module, ball joints, auto lock hubs, etc.
Turning radius is really really bad. Was improved on the 2005's. |

| If I could of had this truck with a V10 gas motor, I would have hated the cost of fuel but I would of loved the truck. The 6.0L Diesel made by International will be know in history as one of the worst diesel motors ever made. The diesel was powerful and quick when it was running properly. |

| I love everything about this pick-up. I can pull any trailer I own with out hesitation, no matter whats on it. Loaded 3,180Lbs. in the bed and hauled it like it wasn't there. All the comforts of home and great looks to boot. |

| 6.0 diesel engine has more than adequate power for towing a 5th wheel trailer. 5 speed trans works great towing. Handling is firm and stable and braking is smooth and even on both dry and wet pavement. Fuel mileage is above most trucks in its class for towing and nontowing. I average 14 to 15 mph towing (18k gross) and 16 mpg town to 23 mph highway empty. The four doors provide ample access and the back seating is adequate for three adults. Noise is miminal. |

| Since I did not drive other brands before buying, I can only say that were I to buy another full size diesel truck I would probably buy a Ford without first driving a Chevy or Dodge. Ford seems to have the best reviews in camping magazines with the least reported problems. Dodge has the most reported problems. Also, at the campgrounds Ford has the best showing of diesel trucks pulling 5th wheels. |

| Looks, power, driveability. I've got 17,000 miles on mine and love it. Tows a fifth wheel with ease and cruises down the highway, loaded or unloaded, quite nicely. |
