Ford Overview

The Ford Story
For more than 100 years, the Ford Motor Co. has been selling mass-produced automobiles around the globe. Its vehicles are known for offering considerable value for the dollar. Ford was incorporated in 1903, and in 1908 created the Model T, possibly the most famous automobile of all time. Today Ford offers a full array of cars, trucks and SUVs for every lifestyle and need, with increasing levels of quality and desirability. The F-150 has been America’s best-selling truck for decades, and the company has embraced hybrid technology and more fuel-efficient gasoline technologies. In addition to producing Lincoln and Mercury vehicles, Ford owns a controlling stake in Volvo and retains an interest in financing, parts and service, and car rental.
