In 1915 the first Aston Martin automobile was built in the United Kingdom. The company's first sale to a U.S. customer was in 1950. In 1964 Aston Martin Lagonda North America was established. Aston Martin was purchased by the Ford Motor Company in 1994 to become part of their Premier Automotive Group, which includes Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo.
